How to apply the Nature Positive concept to biodiversity in a business context?

The European Business@Biodiversity Platform welcomes you to register for its five webinars on Nature Positive. The webinars will:

  • Introduce the current initiatives related to Nature Positive.
  • Present many case studies by businesses.
  • Develop recommendations to standard setters and policy on how to interpret and apply the biodiversity component of the Nature Positive concept in a business context.

The findings of the series will be condensed in a Thematic Report with clear policy recommendations that we aim to publish by the European Business & Nature Summit (EBNS) end of October 2022.

Webinar on 23 May 2022
The first webinar will clarify the Nature Positive concept, provide a general overview of Nature Positive initiatives in the business community, and identify current gaps and challenges related to Nature Positivity.

The webinar will focus on case studies from industries, covering different organisational focus areas (e.g. site level, corporate level), sectors (e.g. energy, finance) and realms (terrestrial, marine).

Session on 18 October 2022 (during European Business and Nature Summit in Brussels)
This technical session will offer an excellent opportunity to discuss the feasibility of achieving ’nature positive’ at the level of an individual company, based on a number of assumptions on how to interpret nature positive. This will be based on the outcomes of the previous webinars and on a final debate with experts and business representatives.
