Spotlight on Nature-based Enterprises: Linked.Farm

Published on January 12, 2026

Across Europe, many farmers want to adopt agroecological and regenerative practices but lack the financial security and market access to make the transition. Linked.Farm, a Belgium-based cooperative founded in 2015, was created to address this challenge by making farming economically viable while strengthening shorter, fairer food supply chains.

Operating as a Farm2Fork digital platform, Linked.Farm connects farmers and food entrepreneurs directly with both B2B and B2C customers through a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) model. Beyond the platform itself, the enterprise provides critical support services — including IT solutions, logistics, marketing, and public procurement support — helping producers overcome barriers that often prevent direct access to sustainable markets. Collaboration is central to the model, with local hubs and partner organisations enabling a decentralised, community-based approach to food systems.

With over €12.5 million transiting through the platform annually, Linked.Farm demonstrates that economic performance and ecological responsibility can reinforce one another. The cooperative is also deeply embedded in wider networks such as Voedsel-Anders, Bond Beter Leefmilieu, EIT Food, and Ashoka, amplifying its impact and reach across the regenerative agriculture ecosystem.

Like many nature-based enterprises, Linked.Farm has faced challenges — from misconceptions that Farm2Fork models are only viable for small-scale producers, to the loss of public funding for food hubs and the ageing farming population. Looking ahead, the organisation prioritises deeper collaboration and farmer autonomy, guided by a simple belief: collaborating is the new winning. By strengthening the wider Farm2Fork ecosystem rather than scaling alone, Linked.Farm offers a compelling model for a more equitable, resilient, and nature-positive food system.
