The Big Food Redesign Challenge - Webinar Recording & Resources

Published on July 6, 2023

In June we hosted a webinar for our Regenerative Agriculture Community, led by Philippe Birker of Climate Farmers. Philippe works with farmers across Europe to help them transition to regenerative farming and ensure they are rewarded for the provision of ecosystem services.

On the other side of that equation, the Ellen MacArthur Foundation (EMF), in partnership with the Sustainable Food Trust, have been working closely with supermarkets and food manufacturers to develop a programme that will bring regeneratively produced food to supermarket shelves across Europe.

This work is being led by Reniera O’Donnell of the EMF who takes us through the impact food design can have on shaping landscapes and ecosystems and explains how farmers, food producers &  manufacturers large and small can get involved in The Big Food Redesign Challenge

* Please see further links and resource on how to participate below the video.

“What if food could be designed in a way that helps rebuild nature and tackle climate change?”

Following Reniera’s short talk, we had a lively Q & A session with a very engaged audience - see from 15 minutes onwards in the video.

Further resources on the Big Food Redesign Challenge can be found below.

This challenge and opportunity to get regenerative produce onto supermarket shelves is open to innovative food designers, food manufacturing businesses, farmers, growers and ingredients suppliers. There is a support programme for successful applicants throughout the process with access to leading experts from right across the supply chain.
